Last summer, my humans decided that it was not enough to attract birds and bees and other yummy insects into our yard just for me, they would need to grow squash! So the Raccoon erected a climber or trellis or whatever it is you humans call it, and planted a squash vine. It was very lovely, and soon took over the whole thing.

I helped the raccoon build the trellis. and my help was much appreciated as I was given lots of hugs, and yelled at when I slunk off and explored the neighbour’s yard.

When I am let out of the house, I usually graze on the surrounding plants. These plants are very tasty and delicious. I wish that I was let out of the house all the time. However Rachael doesn’t like me outside by myself because I am very curious and prone to investigating the neighbourhood. Which she doesn’t like.

Look at the above picture. Would you look at that face and laugh cruelly? Well.. okay, maybe I would.. but if you have a heart, as a stupid human, you should not be able to resist letting me come back into the house. Even if I begged you nonstop for what seemed like hours to be let outside. Even if I refused to come back inside when you stood shivering by the door and begged me to come back quickly now that I had had a taste of the outdoors.

Just because I want to explore, I must be punished by staying outside for a longer period of time? What kind of hogwash is this? Let me in!

Rachael let me out of the house. I got to sun myself on the concrete. I also rubbed my fur all over it… She had to run outside and drag my furry butt back inside… that’s how nice the weather was outside.

Spring is in the air. I wanna go outside. Rachael won’t let me. Stupid smart human.
